Dang--I really wish we had time to put together some informative handouts about Blackwell and what he has done to "advance" the cause of African Americans, regarding equal treatment and all that. I think people attending the awards ceremony might find it enlightening to learn more about their keynote speaker...
6 p.m., Saturday - Black Heritage Council awards banquet. Ohio Secretary of State Kenneth Blackwell is the featured speaker for this annual recognition ceremony. From nominations taken from the public, the council will recognize African-American leaders from our community in five categories: family, business, education, youth, community involvement.
