Hi Kossaks:
I've got a simple request. Can any of you think of high profile individuals (either politicians, elected officials, etc) who are experts on poverty issues and religion/spirituality?
Obviously there are people like John Edwards, Jimmy Carter, and Billy Graham. But, those people are likely out of reach for an upstart organization.
We're trying to build a movement in Alabama to address poverty issues and religion, and our infrastructure is improving. We'd like to introduce a high profile speaker, and we're looking for ideas.
In Alabama, you have to win the people in the pews to win elections, and we're working on that. Please, I would appreciate any thoughts.
