BushCo may be crazy, but they're not stupid-- there is no chance of a draft. None.
The U.S. will continue to enlist poor people and immigrants to fill the ranks of IED fodder. Expect some troop draw-downs from Germany, Japan, etc. as well. Our army will continue to hide behind fortified bunkers and let the "Iraqi Army" (ha ha) get blown to bits.
The Iraqi people may want the U.S. to leave, but the leadership must realize that a troop withdrawal means the country descends into utter chaos. The most likely scenario is more of the same.

But who can predict the future? A conflagration on the Korean peninsula, ethnic strife in Africa, another terrorist attack on American soil, etc. etc. etc., could change everything.
What we do know is that the American people, especially independents, are starting to ask questions, rather than blindly accept the rhetoric of Dear Leader. If BushCo starts losing the propaganda war-- and it's starting to slip-- the GOP has serious problems.
Even if Dems are swept back into power though, Iraq is a long-term mess. A draft is untenable, no other countries want to touch it, the insurgency is motivated and well-armed, and the ethnic conflicts in Iraq are going to be difficult to reconcile. I think it's unlikely that "Iraq" will even exist in ten years. But what the hell do I know?
