When this brutal terrorist took his final breath, one of the last things he saw was the face of an American soldier from Fort Bragg, North Carolina".
This is George Bush speaking of the death of Zarqawi while rallying the troops during a photo-op visit to the home of the 82nd Airborne last week.
When this 14 year old child took her final breath after being brutally raped, one of the last things she saw before the bullets entered her brain was the face of an American soldier.
Say this George. Admit this George. Take responsibility George. Mr. War President. Mr. Commander-in-chief. Your ambassador and your top general have apologized to the Iraqi people for this atrocity but where is your voice.
Do you know her name, George? No? Read it, write it down, try to remember it: Abeer Qasim Hamza ; According to court documents in the case of the first soldier to be arrested for the murder of this Iraqi girl and her family, she was an "adult female". U.S. military officials list her age as 20, locals say she was 15 or 16, but her identity card and death certificate obtained by Reuters show she was 14. And she died from bullets from the guns you supplied to the soldiers you sent to do war on people who posed no harm to our country. You have daughters George, where's the outrage? Your bullets also killed her little sister, Hadeel, age 6, and her parents. Luckily, her two brothers, age 13 and 10 were not at home when the killings took place. They are now orphans.
Private Stephen Green and the other soldiers accused in this matter and other incidents which have recently been reported are not representative of the U.S. Military. Most of the men and women who serve in the Armed Forces of the United States have the respect, admiration, support and love of the American people who know they went to Iraq as commanded and are just trying to stay alive and come home to their families. But you created the hell hole where a few disturbed and drunken soldiers can committ acts of evil. And had it not been for one American soldier with a conscience they might have escaped exposure.
I have no expectation that you will ever say the name Abeer Qasim Hamza. What the hell, you say, I'll be in the history books, my portrait will hang in the White House, I'll have a library full of books I never read and mementos of my glorious war presidency. Everybody knows my name and always will. Nobody will remember a 14 year old piece of collateral damage. She wasn't an American and I betcha she wasn't even blonde. Can't argue with that, George, but I suspect that your God, the one you profess to believe in, might just have a notation of her name written next to yours. And you may have some 'splain to do.
