It does seem to me that Israel has grabbed more land than they should have with their "security wall." Many sources cite that the green line is the true recognized border, which is the 1948 UN border.
Rather than re-type what I had already typed in response to another post recently, I hope you don't mind my linking below. I have linked to many wikipedia pages on the history of Palestine and the Israel/Palestine conflict.
I think we could put out some of the flames of terrorist sentiment towards the United States if we were to promote this idea of setting Israel's border with Palestine to the green line, in the United Nations, and then enforcing the decision militarily if necessary (blowing up the parts of the security wall that go beyond the green line.
The Palestinians have gotten the raw end of the deal all along - but at least agreeing on the 1948 UN border would reach a compromise.
