I have a question, and I know I'm asking the wrong audience, but I have to ask anyway:
Let's say, for the sake of argument, that SCOTUS moves hard right and starts allowing municipally-sponsored nativity scenes, Ten Commandments displays, crosses/crufixes, and other publicly-displayed symbols of Christianity.
Does that mean that I, as a pagan, will have the right to ask that pentacles, goddess figures, and other symbols of my strongly-held faith be displayed on courthouse lawns and in city hall? And to be more mainstream, does that mean that symbols of other faith systems (Islam, Judaism, Buddhism, Hinduism, etc, etc) will also see monuments to their beliefs? And how will atheists (one of whom I was for a ver long time) be represented?
I know this is probably a dumb diary, but I guess I'm totally tired of hearing that the only "people of faith" in this country are neocon "Christians" and that the rest of us don't mean crap.
I'm not being a very good witch right now. But I'm tired of this...
