It's great Lamont made it. But what about the Clinton half of Lieber-Clinton, hmm.....
It's sad commentary that so few journalists have dared to challenge the Tasini effort in N.Y. and stand quietly by as he is buried under Hill & Bill's trucks of bucks from an army of corporate benefactors-- the gifts that keep on giving. Lieberman was, an infinitely easier target. This is tragic for democracy and a shameless "cop out" for those who profess to defend it. Today, information is anything that pleases the Neo-Con Cartel and their duplicitous champion, the Father of Spin-- an advocate for privatization, deregulation and a lifelong conservative who successfully gutted the democratic party--a majority party before he took office. Bill is a vain, solicitous man for all corporate
sponsors, with an abiding contempt for the people.
Lieberman is a small time, local politician and much less of a threat to the American way of life. Clinton was/is his mentor, hero, god and guru. They were lifelong friends and co-founders of the notoriously conservative DLC, founded in the 80s with a long history of assault on DEMOCRATIC principles. In spite of the mock "reprimand," the mock martyrdom and the Monica sham of the 90's, Bill Clinton was acquitted and walked away with the whole toy-chest. If he didn't have Monica then, he'd have to invent her. This was the scandal-sheet psy-op that blacked out the conservative coup of the modern era--a thoroughgoing right wing revolution institutionalized by a so-called DEMOCRAT!, and left our party wondering what hit us. The horrific, hastily conceived NAFTA left several angry populations in its wake moved jobs away from Americans and brought misery and pain worldwide while his obsession with "WMDs" cost Iraqis one-half million kids. The timeline is beyond mere speculation; it's not only fair but chronologically indisputable to say the insurgency was weaned on Clintonomics. And here's the small-shot Lieberman taking all the heat for the powerful hawks that remain devout fans of the war. You bet! Bush was gonna follow Clinton's lead, to do otherwise would be political suicide.
We need to keep the king and queen out of the whitehouse .
