From Political Wire:
Senate Democratic leaders are encouraging Rep. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) to run for Senate against Sen. Mike DeWine (R-OH), the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports. Brown said he has spoken with Senate Democratic leader Harry Reid (D-NV) about running for the seat.
The leadership has also urged Rep. Tim Ryan (D-OH) to "consider joining the race, which now has three lesser-known candidates."
