Rev. Al just slaughtered Holy Joe's campaign manager on Hardball.
I'm sure somebody will have a transcript of this later but I just have to crow about the slaughter. Rev. Al tried to get Joe's campaign manager to say anything about his support for the war. That's when the wiggling in his chair, the shakey voice and the obsessive blinking began. The simple question about Iraq had him bleeding out his eyes and looking for the door. About all he could spit out was that old, tired and worn out phrase "principled stance". Leib's manager also accused some blogger who put up a pic of Holy Joe in blackface of being part of Lamont's campaign. Which is bullshit. And of course Leib's manager beat the dead horse about the country club thing. And he wouldn't admit the hypocracy of the controversy about Clinton's membership in an all-white country club. Go Rev. Al! I think I can finally forgive him for the whole Tiwana Brawly fiasco.
Update: Rev. Al said Holy Joe can't have it both ways(regarding the issue of country clubs) and Leib's manager says, and I quote "yes we can". Oops. A moment of accidental truth.
