For the past 24 hours or so, Keith Olbermann has been rightly celebrated here on DKos. Hundreds of us have sent emails to Keith and his bosses thanking him for his courage and urging him to keep up the good work.
As we all know (since we live in the reality-based world), Keith Olbermann's job at MSNBC depends pretty much entirely on a.) ratings and by extension b.) ad sales. Many of us are doing what we can by watching and influencing others to watch, thereby driving up his ratings, but the next step is supporting his advertisers.
Toward that end, I've compiled below a list of tonight's advertisers on Countdown. Please join me below the fold and thank these advertisers with your business!
First of all, let me say that I realize not all of these advertisers are exactly progressive. But if all other things are equal, giving them your business is the very best way to support Countdown with Keith Olbermann. If you do spend some money with any of these folks, please seek out the highest level manager you can and let that person know WHY you are spending your hard-earned bucks with them.
Now, without further ado, the advertisers:
Break One:
Dish Network
Verizon Wireless
V-8 vegetable drink
Remax Realtors
One-Touch Ultra blood sugar tester
Vonage phone service
Aspercreme pain-relief lotion
Gold Bond foot cream
Break Two:
ChooseChase.com credit cards
Procedetv.com hair-growing method
Sharper Image Ionic Breeze air purifier
Break Three:
Oscar Mayer bologna (with the song!)
TIAA-CREF retirement planning
Infiniti-M class car
Break Four:
Verizon Wireless
Olay Definity (yes, I spelled it correctly) face cream
Subaru cars
Rozeram prescription sleep aid
V-8 vegetable drink
One-a-Day Women vitamins
Break Five:
Capitol One credit card
Genworth Financial
Mitsubishi Eclipse car
Priceline.com travel service
Yeah, that's a lot of commercials -- and I left out the local spots and network promo spots! But again, if you are inclined to need a new car, some sort of cream or vitamin, if you're having trouble sleeping or need another credit card to travel with Priceline.com etc, etc, please consider one of these fine establishments.
Please don't consider this my endorsement of any of these products or services. Go ahead and cross reference them with BuyBlue or whoever you like. But all other things being equal, buying from them -- and tellng them why you're doing it -- WILL help keep Olbermann on the air and in a good time slot.
If you have a problem with any of the business on the list, remember I'm not forcing you to buy from them, just bringing you the list.
Thanks for reading. Now go forth an prosper...
