Ohio is looking great for Dems. In the latest SurveyUSA poll released today Congressman Ted Strickland is destroying rethug Ken Blackwell by 22 points. Strickland leads Blackwell 57% to 35% in today's poll, picking up six points since the last SurveyUSA poll released in June.
In the same SurveyUSA poll Sherrod Brown is ahead of Mike DeWHINE by 8 points. Brown leads incumbent 49 - 41. This is a GREAT news for Brown since DeWHINE's fake 9/11 TV ad barrage has clearly not worked. The latest DeWHINE medicare drug benefit ads have also not worked.

Strickland is attracting 22% of Republican voters and leads 5 to 2 among independents. Among males, Strickland has increased his lead from 4% to 15% now. Among younger voters Strickland leads Blackwell by 35.
In reality both the democrats must be leading by a wider margin since its hard to believe that the dems have smaller than expected lead among african americans and and among hispanics the dems are loosing badly. Among african americans Strickland is ahead of Blackwell only by 59 - 31 and Brown is ahead of DeWHINE only by 64 - 28. Among Hispanics Strickland is down Blackwell by 17 - 63 and Brown is down by 19 - 59.
There is a good news all over Ohio. Ney is out and some internal polls are giving large leads to many statewide democratic candidates like Barbara Sykes, Jennifer Brunner, Rich Cordray while Marc Dann is behind (Betty Montgomery) only by about four points.
The SurveyUSA poll conducted for WCPO-TV Cincinnati, WKYC-TV Cleveland, and WYTV-TV Youngstown.
