It seems that Mickey, like most vermin, is now into our food supply. The AP reports that Disney is licensing their characters for fruits and vegetables. Follow me into the cabbage patch to see who is giving Disney "lettuce" to increase their produce sales.
Imagination Farms, LLC in an Indianapolis-based produce distributor that markets the "Disney Garden" brand. They began shipping to supermarkets in May. Currently over 30 different Disney Garden items are on the produce shelves of Albertson's and other grocers, with plans to increase that to 100 by the end of the year and 200 by the end of 2007. The stated goal is to have every item in the produce section be Disney-licensed, according to the head of Imagination Farms. They even have a line of "Winnie the Pooh Organic Produce".
From the look of the website, they have been totally assimilated into the MouseBorg. (http://www.imagination-farms.com)
Their phone number is 877-6-I-FARMS (877-643-2767).
Two of their 15 major partners/suppliers are:

According to the owner of Ito, sales of peaches, plums and nectarines bearing images of Disney characters have exceeded the amount of unbranded fruit he sold last year for about the same price. This shows that they are tracking this closely, and will be immediately aware of a downward trend.

A Google search to find more partners came up empty. If anyone can add to this, please do! If we hit them from every possible angle, it will get their attention. After all, no one else runs "Desparate Housewives", but apples and supermarkets have plenty of competition just as good!
