A few nights ago at one of her fundraising events, I heard Rep. Lynn Woolsey (D-CA06, Petaluma) say some troubling things. "War is never the answer. War doesn't work. No more, no war, nowhere."
Tell that to the "Greatest Generation." I suppose that on Monday, 8 December 1941, Franklin Roosevelt should have asked Congress for a declaration of peace?
In contrast to Lynn Woolsey, there are the so-called "Fighting Democrats," such as retired Lt Col Charlie Brown of Roseville, California. Charlie is running for Congress in the 4th Congressional District. As former Air Force officers, he and I know that under certain unfortunate circumstances, when diplomacy fails, war is a legitimate tool of the state.
