It was announced today:
Sacramento Bee that Bush is coming to do a fundraiser for Doolittle on Oct. 3.
The reason per Doolittle:
"The president is coming because Charles Brown is in trouble," Doolittle said. "This will raise tremendous amounts of money."
They are looking to get over $500,000. Now 15% cut for one days work is......
The Brown campaign saw it differently.
"The president doesn't travel across country for someone who is not in trouble," said Todd Stenhouse, Brown campaign's spokesman. "This will not change the fact that John Doolittle is corrupt. It won't change his ties to Jack Abramoff or his failure to support our troops. This is simply John Doolittle acknowledging that he is in trouble."
The Brown campaign, meanwhile, announced Thursday that it is beginning a new series of radio ads highlighting the connection between Abramoff and Doolittle in defending the garment industry in the Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas. Workers in these plants have complained of virtual imprisonment and other abuses.

Richard Robinson, Doolittle's political spokesman, dismissed the new ads as "ludicrous."
"He has become a desperate candidate that will do or say anything to get elected," Robinson said.
The Bush event will be held at the exclusive Serrano Country Club in El Dorado Hills. Doolittle said the price of admission has not been set yet, "but it will cost a lot - as much as we can get."
Bush? Polls show that many folks in the CA-4 are concerned about the Iraq War. So, does this sound like Doolittle has nothing to worry about or does he want to make "tremendous amounts of money"?
