So, the Brillig family was planning to go see the fantastic Brad Delp-fronted Beatles tribute band
Beatlejuice open for
Johnny Rivers at the Hatch Shell in Boston. And then, it occurred to me... what a great place for a Kossack meet up! It's fun, free, outside on a (hopefully) beautiful summer afternoon/evening, free, appropriate for Kossacks
and Kossack kidlets, did I mention free?

It all happens Saturday, July 9th from 7-9:30pm and is part of the
WODS Summer Concert Series. While I've never heard Johnny Rivers (hits include
Baby, I Need Your Lovin'; Summer Rain; Poor Side of Town; Memphis; Secret Agent Man; Swayin' To The Music) play live, I
have heard Beatlejuice- if you close your eyes, you'll wonder who you're really listening to. Even if you don't like "Oldies" music, this should be fun.
How about we gather at say 5pm or so, stake out some real estate, and picnic until the music starts. That also gives time for folks who don't want to stay for the music to socialize beforehand. My understanding is that while blankets, lawn chairs and coolers are allowed, glass containers, alcohol and portable grills are not.
If you're interested, let me know here and/or drop me a line by email (see my profile). We'll coordinate finding each other, etc as the date draws near.
Hope you can make it! Discuss away...
