2 stories about the angry man Dean theme on Political Wire today:
Howard Dean "is continuing to feed the perception among some voters, campaign strategists and academics that he is angry, edgy and -- a cardinal sin in politics -- not cheerful," USA Today reports.
The Chicago Tribune says "Dean runs on high-octane anger."
The timing of these stories together leads me to believe that there were suggestions by either the Bush people or the other Democratic contenders on reporters to write these stories.
Personally, I am also a little concerned about Dean's temper, but if he becomes the nominee, it's not like he'd be running against Jesus Christ or Job.
Let's review George W. record:
- He's alienated almost the entire world against the U.S
- He believes in a simple minded policy of "you're with us or you're against us"
- His response against terrorist attacks on U.S troops in Iraq; "bring 'em on"
He also seems to express no concern for having a hot head in the sensitive foreign related posting of Defense Secretary in Donald Rumsfeld.
In fact, the very Republicans and independents who Bush is being told to frighten with stories of Dean's temper outbursts, are the same people who are told to love Rumsfeld for his honest, 'take no prisoners attitude'.
I think we should be reminding media outlets that write stories on Dean, of Bush's record.
