In Ohio's 15th Congressional District, we have a fantastic Democratic challenger,
Mary Jo Kilroy running against the 4th ranking Republican in Congress, Republican Conference Chair,
Deborah Pryce.
The DCCC puts Mary Jo Kilroy in their first wave of competitive races. And, as you might imagine, the Republican party considers this race a must win race due to Deborah Pryce's role in leadership.
I was at a Mary Jo Kilroy rally Saturday and I asked if the Kilroy campaign was going to put some ads on TV and radio that highlight Deborah Pryce's record and her support of the typical Republican platform which is big business, anti-middle class/working class.
I was told the Kilroy campaign needs money to do this. That the Republicans are putting 20 times as much money into Pryce's campaign as the Kilroy campaign can raise.
Deborah Pryce sells herself as an independent moderate. She is anything but that supporting President Bush 88% of the time. She was personally chosen by Tom Delay for her current leadership position. Ms. Pryce also strongly supports the stripping of civil rights through granting the executive branch unchecked powers.
Mary Jo Kilroy has been an excellent very visible county commissioner in Columbus, OH. She fights for the middle class and working families. She is opposed to an endless Iraq war with no realistic plan to finish our mission there. Mary Jo is a fiscally sound manager as shown with 14 balanced county budgets out of 14 budgets created. Franklin County (Columbus, OH) has been called one of the five best managed counties in the country.
But Mary Jo Kilroy will not defeat Republican leader Deborah Pryce without our help. I am busily getting out the vote in my community as the president of the local Democratic club and precinct captain.
I also opened an ActBlue fundrasing account for Mary Jo Kilroy.

Together, we can send George Bush and the Republican leadership a real message by defeating one of their own leaders.
Thanks!
