The Loch Ness monster? A sea-sasquatch? A Chernobyl-chimera? What fresh hell
is this??!!
Some Russian sailors found some sort of sea creature in Sakhalin, all the way in the Easternmost part of Russia (near the Sea of Japan), and photographed it. None of them could identify the dead creature, and neither can I. But it looks awfully scary. What's your best guess?
These images were posted at
huffingtonpost today, where the pics are much clearer than I've managed here. They are absolutely the weirdest things I've ever seen. It would be really exciting to find out that they're a new species, but I have no idea.
Maybe it's a mock monster from a film set, that got washed away?
Maybe it's a terratogen spawned from the radiation leaks of Chernobyl?
The Loch Ness baby??
An entirely new species of lamb?
If it's a new species, I think that's very exciting, and I hope it's not the last of its kind. It's got teeth -- wonder what it ate? And I wonder what ate it?
Sigh. Steve Irwin, we miss you already!
