OK, the GOP in Pennsylvania is supporting the Green candidate for Senate in the hope of siphoning a few liberal votes from Casey. But that's nothing compared to Connecticut, where the official Republican candidate, Alan Schlesinger, is sitting at
single digits in the polls and all the big-money Republican support is going to Joe “Baruch Arnold” Lieberman.
Why don't we play this game, too? If Schlesinger gets more name recognition as the official candidate of the Republican Party, maybe that will get die-hard CT Republicans to return to the party fold, that could be critical in bursting the Lieberballoon.
I realize that Hillary Clinton can't give any of her war-chest to Schlesinger, but couldn't she fund Lamont while we helped the poor schmuck out? Just make sure not to give him the dough in cash, as he does seem to be a compulsive gambler…
