There is only one man qulified to bring us together in 2008, and we must make sure to nominate him. Of course I mean Ralph Nader.
Recent comments and emerging facts show a remarkable trend which I believe to be true: Ralph Nader is uniquely positioned to unite all of us. Yes, Nader may have failed to do that before, but things have changed.
The most amazing evience of Nader's new power to win support from everyone, yes I mean everyone, surfaced in NeuvoLiberal's diary today. She reveals that the one man who might most be expected to oppose Nader, Al Gore, has now become a Nader-supporter. Gore in fact went so far as to issue a written statement testifying to his great "respect" for Nader and even afirming that he views Nader as "my friend."
In elections past, Nader showed he could draw support from liberals like Susan Sarandan and conservatives like Karl Rove. Now with even Al Gore bowing to Ralph, it is clear Nader is the one man who can unite America.
Some overly pragmatic Kossacks have sugested Democrats should not draft Nader because in 2000, he only got 3% of the vote. Some have even said we should rule out anyone who couldn't beat Bush. But we must recognize that the only reason Bush beat Nader in 2000 was because Gore stole 49% of the vote. Now that Gore has clearly said he does not plan to run, and now that Gore has come out for Ralph Nader, those 49% will add their votes to the hundreds Nader already had.
Besides, America now realizes what a mistake she made in electing Bush in 2000, and Ralph Nader represents the best chance to turn back the calander and refute the 2000 results once and for all.
Clearly 2008 will be Ralph Nader's year. If Nader refuses to run as a Democrat, the only logical thing for us to do is nominate no cadidate, and instead endorse Ralph Nader. Please, tell everyone in your circle to get behind the only move that makes sense in 2008. Let's elect Ralph Nader.
