Republican congressman Platts (PA-19) did not ask one question during the first two days of the Waxman-led hearings on Iraq. With the Iraq War and Reconstruction going so badly, you would think he would be concerned.
On Tuesday, the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform heard testimony from Paul Bremer and others on the failed reconstruction. Yesterday, the hearings covered military contractors.
Will Platts ask a question today? Who knows? The subject is massive Homeland Security contracts and amount of waste contained therein.
Is your rep on the Committee? Did he or she ask any questions? Are any of the Republican committee members asking legitimate questions? Are any of them expressing outrage about the massive fraud, corruption, waste that occurred?
We need oversight of the Oversight Committee.
