Jeb is probably still reeling from the slap in the face by University of Florida.
How dare the university deny him an honorary degree.
Those stupid teachers. What do they know? How quickly all forget that I was the Education Governor.
After all, he-John Ellis Bush-is absolutely entitled to that Ph.D. Not only did he earn the recognition through his hard work as Florida's two-term governor, for crying out loud, the post-Bush years should be strewn with accolades. That's part of JEB's pre-Presidential game plan.
Or so reporter and author, S.V. Date, (with an accent over the "a")-"JEB: America's Next Bush"-might have written today, with the UF faculty "thumbs down" fresh in the minds of Floridians. The university that gave the nation Gatoraide and Ultimate Frisbee gave us the best last laugh-the flipping of the collegial "bird" at a politician who feels he and his family are destined to govern America.
Chapter One-"Prince Jeb" deals with that sense of entitlement, of noblesse oblige. The Bush family is a poster child of Ruby Payne's theory of hidden class rules in America. The chapter also further delves into the John Ellis Bush bipolar "brooding child-king" form of rule...a sort of political Gemini, intelligent and intuitive once second, impatient and condescending the next. His ill treatment of staff and reporters is well-discussed as well as his innate sense of ease with children and the elderly.
The legendary work habits are discussed with the point made that JEB works ultimately for one person: himself. When he does not get what he feels "entitled", the man will blast anything and anyone is his way in order to achieve his goal. His infamous fight to rid Florida of the People's Decision regarding the class size amendment as well as JEB's personal disgust with the blow to his school voucher program are two prime examples of what Floridians found distasteful about the Man who feels the keys of the Kingdom are his-no questions asked.
Although Jeb mouths to the public that he will not seek the Presidency, readers of the first chapter of Date's book will soon realize....that denial is all part of the Jeb Bush plan.
He will run. It is his destiny. The Bush Family was born to rule.
Or so JEB thinks.
