I've had it with the bickering between internets supporters of these two campaigns. Over at MYdd this is literally ALL THAT HAPPENS ANYMORE. I must state that I am grass rooting my buttocks off for Senator Obama. I am on his side and will continue to support him to the endgame, even if he Veeps for Hillary (which I doubt).
This is politics, folks. Anything goes. Is it possible to catch a whiff of political opportunism in John Edwards "I was wrong about Iraq" spiel? Likewise, Obama probably passes on few opportunities to present himself and his actions in the most favorable light possible. I don't care what anybody says, a man who has risen to this level of political opportunity didn't get here without the occasional moment of disingenuousness. We ain't talking about virgins, here. Let's be real.
So I just want to say that I respect the hell out of both of them. The respective campaigns and the "personas" of the candidates couldn't be more different, and there's some evidence that Mr. Edwards is tacking in a direction more favorable, on the whole, to people who frequent liberal blogs. He came off to me as a little more "centrist" last time around. Barack might seem the opposite- perhaps more "liberal" in deed than in persona. Of course my analysis could be crap.
I think both of these guys are outstanding for the Democratic party. I'm pulling for Obama, but I refuse to tear Edwards down along the way. He's a good man. I enjoy a debate, but things are getting a touch nasty in these internets tubes.
Two more cents in the bank of unsubstantial diaries that is the GREEN and BOLD. www.myspace.com/thegreenandbold for weird music.
