According to Ha'aretz: "Former Wisconsin governor and Republican presidential hopeful Tommy Thompson told Jewish activists Monday that making money is "part of the Jewish tradition."
According to the Israeli newspaper, Thompson said that "I'm in the private sector and for the first time in my life I'm earning money. You know that's sort of part of the Jewish tradition."
Then Thompson came up with the lamest excuse this side of the dog ate my homework:
"I just want to clariy somethign because I didn't [by] all means want to infer or imply anything about Jews and finances and things ... What I was referring to ... is the accomplishments of the Jewish religion. You've been outstandding business people and I compliment you for that."
What the $@#@!???? Thomson has big time foot-in-mouth disease. Can you imagine what GOP reaction would be had a Democrat said some filth like this? Is this what Tommy Thompson really thinks about the Jewish community. And he wants to be President???
