Al Gore's new book carries within it the answer to the question "What will it take for Al to run?"
He refers to many "good people trapped in a bad system." His basic premise is that it is each and everyone's responsibility that we got to this place, and it's everyone's responsibility to get us out. Taylor Marsh wrote a good piece, which is at ,
http://www.taylormarsh.com/... [1] - complete with links to the audio of a blogcall that Gore made to bloggers. In the blog call, Al told them:
"I put my heart and soul into this book. ...
What this book is is an effort to really lay out, not only a diagnosis but also a prescription. Those of you on this call are part of the group in America that I do see as on the cutting edge of the change I hope is coming on strong."
In the Time article where he was quoted as saying, "I haven't ruled it out," he also said,
"It would take a lot to disabuse me of the notion that my highest and best use is to keep building that consensus.
"What it would take, specifically?
"I can't say because I'm not looking for it. But I guess I would know it if I saw it."
We should all be thinking outside the box. When the people are ready, Al Gore the candidate will appear.
