Once again, everyone here needs to take a step back and understand what goes on in this country. This country cannot even remove an administration that is fraught with evil, greed and arrogance. Not only that, this country elected them again.
This is the same country that will have to vote for a Hillary Clinton or a Barack Obama if they win the nomination. It is not going to happen. Not now and not for a long time. Face it.
Of course I'd vote for either Clinton or Obama if they got the nomination and I'd probably work for their election but I don't like either of them and the funny thing is, nobody I know likes Hillary and every I know doesn't think a black man whose middle name is Hussein can be elected.
Perhaps we know different people. I can tell you that I know people who vote in very large numbers. Everyone I know votes except of course my son and their sons and most daughters. The rock star bullshit that you all think Obama has are with people who do not vote. Yes, they will vote in higher numbers this time but not enough to overcome the racial prejudice that an Obama nominee will bring. Plus, if you saw the debate at Howard University you'd know that Obama's charisma is dying and during a National Election this guy, who has never beaten anyone in an election except for Alan Keyes in a state that Alan Keyes never lived in, will never make it.
Hillary's tough and she was brilliant at Howard but you know that in a national election she can never win. It's one thing to win in a state like New York and another across the country. If she was running against Bush she'd win but against Fred Thompson or Rudy Giuliani she doesn't stand a chance. Do you all realize how many Democrats don't like her? And then there are the Republicans who dislike her like we dislike Bush and the independents who will not go for anyone who has the image of a polarizer, despite the image Hillary tries to portray. Plus, independents are the last ones to want the Bush Clinton Bush Clinton pattern to continue.
Funny thing is, I bet Hillary would be a great president, even though I don't like her triangulating.
I would much prefer to see the Edwards in the White House. John Edwards is the only one whose reactions to Republicans are strong enough to me. We know he hates them. Hillary and Obama wnat Republicans as their friends. That can't be, not with this crop of pricks the Republican Party has produced. Of course, there is Kucinich who knows just what to say but never seems to be there when it's important but that is what you get with the Democratic darling of Fox News.
It's time to commit to Edwards and send him money, lots of it. He is our only chance. He's a great man, talented, seasoned and one who has a social conscience.
We cannot wait any longer. It's time to be realistic, something this group has trouble with. Can we afford another 4 years of Republicans. The Republicans and many independents orgasm over this great economy that is so anemic that housing prices have been stagnant for years, even in the best areas where the economy has been tilted. Trickle down has fucked us over once again and it's doing it know too. If we got rid of the 15% tax bracket on dividends, raised the top brackets and gave the middle class tax cuts, this economy would fly like an eagle.
So, now we need to make the choice that we can be most sure about. It is not a good time for experiments. God helps us with Thompson or Giuliani in the Oval Office!
