This is almost a GBCW diary but it isn't. Instead, it's a diary about life aka that little annoyance that keeps TU status at bay. Like it or not, I'm not going anywhere - at least not tonight.
Oh sure, you can surmise I'm just whining about TUs and trolls and TU abuse and earned vs. unearned TRs. But nooooooo, I'm whining about how TU status is definitely and inherently tied to the quality of your life.
Follow me for a tale that will have absolutely no impact on the quality of your life - real or imagined.
I discovered this teeming mass of humanity sometime around August 2005. Back then, we not only walked to school in our barefeet uphill for 20 miles on burning coals every morning, but we also easily obtained TU status after just a few weeks of witty comments.
Then there was a troll invasion.
And Kos made TU status a little more bitchier.
Back then in my youth, it didn't matter because I had no life. In fact, I had a top comment of the day remarking on the unique connection between having no life and having TU status. Someone smarter with the search mechanism may even find it. My TU back then never faded. Constant as the northern star, it was there beckoning me to read the insidiousness of the hidden comments. Something serious is going on with the latest crop of trolls however as no really good ones have stumbled our way. Based on the low quality of trolls as of late, I think the hired guns have an average age of 11.
But that's neither here nor there since I suddenly found myself with a life.
Imagine if you will a new home purchased this past spring and even better, a new wife whom I remain crazy about 26 hours a day. I can't get enough of her. Plus, she'd be really be pissed if I made maintaining TU status more important than her. And that garden ... my garden is simply screaming for me every day I am not working. You'd have to have one to understand.
And herein lies the problem ... the DKos dilemma if you will:
My life or my TU status.
I've come to the conclusion I can't have both. The algorithm came to it yesterday. Have I told you I hate algorithms? They suck the really big one.
So, dear follow orange ones (that's not a sunburn is it?)...what do you have? A life or TU status?
