The Albany Project needs your advice.
A bit of background.
During this past election cycle, I ran for the New York State Senate in a District that had been in Republican hands since 1910. I learned first hand how the dysfunctional New York State legislature is AWFUL at representing the interests of its constituents, but absolutely GREAT at creating a culture of incumbency.
My Friends, am and lipris, helped with the race and were there for the good, bad and disappointing.
More after the flip...
Now, we learned how broken the system in NY is and we were left with a VERY bad attitude about New York State politics.
So, what do all good blogsters do when faced with an unreasonable power structure? We create a political blog dedicated to transforming New York into the progressive model it should be. Thus The Albany Project was born.
We have BIG plans. One of which revolves around the development of a wiki for all things New York. TAPopedia, if you will. Problem is, we are great bloggers, but really don't know much about various wiki software packages that are available.
We are looking at a couple of them:
Wikimedia
Wet Paint
So, how can you help? Take a look at them and give us any advice you might have about these platforms.
We plan on becoming the place to go for all your New York Political Needs.
Help us out, Kossacks.
