I've been addicted to watching episodes of Frontline on PBS.
Making comments about war and peace is difficult and sometimes irresponsible if a person doesn't know what they are talking about. Watching these episodes goes a long way to solving the "lack of information" problem.
So sit back and relax while Frontline takes you on a journey of information.
Return of the Taliban shows how Al Qaeda and the Taliban continue to use the tribal areas of Pakistan as a base for support and operations. A good program with lots of information about a war we hear little about these days as most attention is focused on Iraq. http://www.pbs.org/...
The Dark Side explores how Vice President Dick Cheney seized the initiative to expand executive power, transform America's intelligence agencies and bring the war on terror to Iraq. http://www.pbs.org/...
The Insurgency takes a look at the Sunni Insurgency in Iraq. http://www.pbs.org/...
Private Warriors details how private companies play an increasingly critical role in running U.S. military supply lines, providing armed protection, and operating U.S. military bases. http://www.pbs.org/...
The Soldier's Heart - FRONTLINE tells the stories of soldiers who have come home haunted by their experiences and asks whether the government is doing enough to help. http://www.pbs.org/...
Rumsfeld's War - A secretary of defense who came into the Pentagon determined to transform the shape of the military. http://www.pbs.org/...
The Lost Year in Iraq - An excellent piece on the bungling of the Bush administration in the first year of the invasion. http://www.pbs.org/...
The War Behind Closed Doors - A look at the reasons for the Bush Administration going to war in iraq. http://www.pbs.org/...
