This is a bit of a wasted diary, what with Bush starting an illegal war on Iran. But I did want to alert DKosers what the press has already discovered.
There will be liveblogging from the Scooter Libby trial.
We announced that Arianna Huffington had pulled off a pass a week or so ago. But we just discovered that we've got a primo arrangement: One pass for inside the court room, and one for the media room. It's primo because it means one of us will be close enough to see Dick Cheney sweat (if he testifies live, which I doubt--but there're bound to be some sweaty Neocons). And one of us will be in the media room, blogging away. And away. And away.
Not sure how we'll manage it technically. But I did want to let everyone know it was going to happen.
Anyway, just for kicks, here's Jane tooting our horn with ABC:
Two more seats will be controlled by writers for several liberal-leaning blogs, including Firedoglake, The Huffington Post and DailyKos, said Firedoglake founder Jane Hamsher.
"This case shows how the blogosphere has had an impact on how the news was covered," Hamsher said. "During Watergate, there was no place for people to meet and say, 'This story makes no sense."'
Update! Jueiesie reminded me I've got a book that is related to this whole trial!
