Vote... here.
Vote in the poll below for the one candidate you would be most unwilling to vote for (either would not, or would have the gravest reservations and second and third thoughts about voting for).
The link above is to a poll that seeks to allow us to measure hostility and favorability to candidates. In short, it allows you to rank the listed (and even to add to the list... I think) candidates in by preference.
Unlike Meteor Blade's fantasy poll diary, it's not just a preference rating vote. By allowing people to rate candidates negatively, the results will give us some sense of dkos voter hostility to any given candidate, which in the aggregate will show us how the favorable/unfavorable impressions of candidates weigh, at this moment.
I've included candidates (at the link--the poll limits here mean that I have to leave some people off...) MB did not--Sebelius, Schweitzer, Napolitano--who've not been widely touted, but have been discussed here (more than once) as possible attractive candidates. Please, no whining from citizens of those states that you don't want to share them. We know we all want to keep our best politicians close to home fixing our potholes and schools.... I've not included Howard Dean, though MB did. I did this because he's on record saying he will not run. He promised to stay in his post through the 2008 elections, and as a rabid Dean supporter who would not be unhappy to see him in office... I have to say I believe him. I think the only way he'd run would be if the convention deadlocked and he was approached as a compromise candidate.
Please feel free to comment below on the defects of this poll (I'm using the tools I got, not the tools I wish I had) and perhaps someone else can do yet another fantasy poll that's even better. Please feel free to make civil, reasoned and fair criticisms of various candidates, explaining why you feel that way. Drive by smears are hereby declared a free fire zone for troll ratings. Explain and support.
No name calling. No ad hominems of candidates or other posters, not even the ones who stalk you or always disagree with you.
And of course, do feel free to civilly dispute and debate the criticisms.
