This diary is introduced for Daily Kos viewers, and is entitled "Name 10", simply for the purpose of asking all of you, who are called "consumers", to name 10 items you have purchased in the last year that are "non-food" related that were manufactured in the United States of America.
Honestly, I have searched my entire house, and could not find even one item purchased by me that was manufactured in the USA, other than some food products.
Both the Republican Party and the Democratic Party, via elected politicians, and those running for office, swear the "free trade" is making America greater. They both swear that what is manufactured in the USA continues making us great; yet, I can find few and far in what I shop for that is actually made here in 2007.
I cannot buy pots, pans, knives, plates, batteries, even a blood pressure monitoring device that was made here at home, much less a baby rattle, teething device, fan, clock-radio, television, dvd player, yada yada yada.
Is free trade making America great?
