Hey, everybody!
My political cartoons were a fixture here on DailyKos (and in hundreds of newspapers) through the 2004 campaign. But when my syndicate dumped me in March of this year for being too "edgy" (which, ironically, is why they brought me onboard in the first place in 1997--my, how times change), my cartoons stopped appearing here, and everywhere.
So what am I up to now?
Well, first, I've got a book, Scott Bateman's Sketchbook of Secrets & Shame, coming out next spring from Word Riot Press. My sketchbook work is much more pop culture-oriented than politically-oriented, but if you're interested, you can see my sketchbook work here.
But the upcoming project that should interest Kossacks is BATEMAN365, a project in which I'll make an animated film every day for a year.
Because politics is part of who I am, many of the films will, I imagine, end up being animated political cartoons, so stay tuned.
BATEMAN365 is scheduled to go live on September 1, but you can see the trailer here!
Hope you enjoy!
