My boss wondered who they'd get to replace Hastert. I replied that, from personal experience and former residence, there's no shortage of oleaginous, ethically challenged former high school wrestling coaches in north-central Illinois.
I can't go into detail - at least not now - but in the part of the agency where I work we've been personally touched by Hastert's brand of graft. Perhaps later I'll elaborate. For now, I quote John Edward's pithy comment on the departure of Karl Rove: "Good bye and good riddance."
