I read somewhere on dKos yesterday that Al Franken, who broadcast his show from CPAC on Thursday and Friday, had had a "meltdown" and thrown a chair at Michael Medved.
Here's what really happened: Medved invited Franken to come be interviewed on his show, but kinda sorta forgot to tell him that Swift Boat Liars' John O'Neill would also be present.
Franken objected, telling Medved that if he'd known in advance that O'Neill would also appear, he would have had time to prepare.
Transcribed from footage of the encounter, online at
The National Debate, misleadingly titled, "Franken Explodes in SwiftVet Fueled Rage on Michael Medved Show":
Franken: I'm not going to come over here and be ambushed by that John O'Neill there who's been doing this for years and years and years. . . has been [unintelligible] calumny on a war hero, John Kerry.
[derisive laughter heard]
I've seen people here going, "Oh, yeah, he's not a war hero." Yes, he was!
Franken was clearly angry and disgusted at Medved's stunt, but certainly not "enraged."
