Santorum issued his own clarification yesterday evening, stating that the reference to Hitler was "meant to dramatize the principle of an argument, not to characterize my Democratic colleagues."
Yeah, Ricky....riiiiiight.
Santorum went on..........
"My point was that it is preposterous for someone to trample a well-established principle, and then accuse his opponents of acting unlawfully when they try to reestablish that principle," Santorum said. "Nevertheless, it was a mistake and I meant no offense."
I wonder if he even sees his own hypocrisy sometimes, or if he's just had WAY too much Kool-Aid to care anymore.
Trampling a well-established principle? Then accuse the opponent of acting unlawful? Ricky, that's your team's WHOLE PLAYBOOK.
In other news, Santorum has not asked himself to strike his own words from the Senate record.
Step down, Santorum. You still owe us all an apology. You can start with the families of the over 6 million murdered by the man you chose to use in your latest political game of 'gotcha'.
