The system uses a ranked choice ballot and displays results in three ways:
1. Plurality (what you're used to)
2. Depth (a system similar to college football rankings)
3. Instant Runoff (like the system in Australia and some US cities)
Instant Runoff trumps if the different systems result in different winners. It can happen, which makes things interesting.
As usual, John Edwards won every dimension of last week's poll. But Chris Dodd displaced Barack Obama to take 2nd place in Depth and Runoff (Obama held on to 2nd in plurality).
For the current week's poll, at the time of this writing Edwards holds a commanding lead in every dimension. Dodd led early in the day, and is now holding strong in 2nd. Obama is back in the pack at 3rd, just ahead of Dennis Kucinich and Bill Richardson.

Edwards leads this one as well, but Kucinich has a slight edge over Dodd for 2nd place, trailed by Obama and then the rest.
