Dear Barack,
I was really excited when you said you were running for president.
Incredible! A black man, and a woman in the running for president for the first time in our country's history.
And you, so articulate, so passionate. Your speach at the dem convention blew me away. I felt like there was hope for my high-jacked country's future.
I was willing to throw my support behind you, even though, as a woman, I'd like to have a woman as president, before I die.
As your campaign rolled out, you started showing a lot of caution.
You spoke of compromise and working together to rebuild our country.
That's nice, what a nice thought, compromise, that sounds resonable.
But, are you willing to fight for things like health care, and maybe shifting some of the tax burden from the shoulders of the middle class back to the hedge fund gazillionaires?
Are you willing to fight? Yeah, that was my concern.
You see, Barack, a lot of people had to fight some really dirty hard
fights for you to be in the position you're in.
It started back before the 60's. but the 60's and 70's were when young people of all colors were taking it to the streets fighting for equal rights. (For African Americans, for Women) It did not come easy, and
it still aint all that easy.
I don't understand your latest attack on Hillary.
You could have said she was too willing to triangulate.
You could have said she had a lot of baggage.
But, contrasting yourself with the 60's generation and saying they were fighters instead of compromisers, well, you lost me buddy.
And you pissed me off.
So, kiss my hippy ass.
