Once again, I'll give the standard disclaimer that I'm a hard core Deananista but will vote for whoever the Democratic nominee is in November..
Having said that, it's interesting to see that an opening has been created for Dean a mere three days after that sickening "manic monday" in Iowa:
-The expectations game may be working in his favor in NH.. seems like most people expect a complete Dean collapse... Earlier I have said that NH was a "must win," but now I believe a strong 2nd will leave Dean in a position to continue competing... remember that since Monday he has raised more $ than Kerry and Edwards combined, and he should be very competitive in a large number of later primaries.. Just surviving NH in 2nd would allow him to turn this into a 15-round slugfest..
-The trifecta of the debate, Primetime Live and Letterman tonight could either sink Dean for good or put him in position to pull a surprising win out next Tuesday. My advice is for him to be himself... No one supported him because he was a polished political operator.. Show a sense of humor about that horrid speech, be genuine, stay positive...
-I am also happy to see that the Dean campaign has been good about responding to feedback from his supporters... It's a sign that the grassroots still matter to him, and reinforces why I have been behind him since last summer and will pour all my efforts into his campaign until he withdraws...
