Just now on Thom Hartmann, he stated that pundits are saying repeatedly that Hillary is the most "electable."
However, Thom notes that in polls among independents and republicans, Hillary has the highest percentage of people who say they would "never" vote for Hillary, and that it is actually John Edwards who does the best in that category.
Why?
Thom states that the reason that Hillary is being touted as most electable is that the corporate media which is directly influenced by Big Business wants the most business friendly, lobbyist bought, pro free trade candidate to win, and that person in this year's race is Hillary Clinton.
That is no surprise to me or to others, since Hillary is the number 1 recepient of lobbyist money from either side of the aisle in the Presidential race and she has voted for Lieberman Kyl, for the Peru Free trade act, and is now employing Rovian tactics of staging plants in her audience.
Thom also noted that Edwards won against the Jesse Helms attack machine in the south, and that Hillary Clinton did not face a serious candidate in her senate race.
Hartmann also said that he still believed that Edwards (and Kerry) won nationally in 2004 but there was not a significant challenge of the results and that Ohio was stolen as Florida was in 2000.
We need someone who can answer tough questions and who has proven themselves in serious challenges.
John Edwards - not lobbyist friendly, people friendly - is the best candidate for president.
