Wow. Wow. Wow. A new ARG poll finds Hillary in first place with 27% of likely Iowa caucus goers supporting her candidacy. Obama and Edwards are at 20% and 18% respectively. But astoundingly, the number of Hillary supporters who say that she definitely has their vote as rocketed to 92%. Interestingly, Richardson who draws only 12% support has a definite support number of 67% - congrats to him on earning that level of dediction. Edwards has a definite support level of 50% and Obama has 41%.

We all know the polls are going to get tighter as the primary nears, but I think this bespeaks the reaction to the passionately denied, but obvious to anyone with eyes, pile-on that we witnessed in the last debate and the continuing controversies over the past few weeks.
Hillary has earned her teflon over the years - that is one of the big assets she has in this campaign. What people know about the Clintons - and we have a $70m investigation to prove it - is that they are squeaky clean. Her teflon was layered on one week after another during the Starr investigation, and every time she wasn't indicted, another layer was coated on. I have been through this with Clintons, and I know that the accusations being hurled now are going to go exactly the same place alll the other accusations against them have gone - exactly nowhere.
Add to that a great and well-thought out platform, an ability to connect with ordinary voters and a mind-boggling amount of campaign experience, and you have a candidate with a real shot at a commanding win.
Congrats to Hillary on an astounding level of support.
