Contractors suspending work in Iraq
Via the New York Times.
Pretty straightforward article showing how both the direct attacks on contractors (real ones, not mercenaries), and on the supply routes and logistics infrastructure have essentially halted the work of two major contractors (GE and Seimens) in Iraq.
So, we have field units struggling to keep supplies in stock, the green zone eating MRE's and drinking local water, and now the major reconstruction efforts in the water, power, sewage, and basic infrastructures...grinding to a halt.
Bad.
