It is not news to anyone who has been reading any thread on any diary that has anything remotely to do with the 2008 election, that the kossacks are in a stubborn unending war over the support of the democratic front runner Hillary Clinton. There are many parallels these feuds inspire, but I'm thinking gangs, not gangs that strive for money or drugs. Gangs whose ultimate goal is power, we all just want a real victory. I'll post who's who below the fold in this Web Side Story:
Gang #1 is dubbed the (hyphenated)"Hillary-Haters" these poor souls range in their 'hate' of Mrs. Clinton from complete disgust to mild disagreement. Don't judge these kids for their accused 'hatred' of Hillary, because they are acting passionately about their guy/girl, and only want what's best. There is no hate (for the most part) they only disagree, but H-H's don't care how many alley fights they have to go through. Bring 'em on, start naming weapons. Here's a breakdown of the double H's:
- "Hillary is the absolute worst candidate, I support (Obama, Edwards, Kucinich, etc.)and I will not vote for her even with the nomination."
- "Hillary isn't my favored candidate. I will spend my time supporting (insert candidate,) and not supporting Hillary. If she wins the nomination despite my efforts you bet your ass I'll vote for her."
- "I wouldn't have minded voting for Hillary before this campaign, but now I've changed my support to another candidate."
Gang #2 doesn't have a particular name aside from a supporter of Mrs. Clinton but I'm going to call them the "Nobama's" They also range from angry and die-hard liberal to desperate democrat striving to win an election. This gang wants to win badly. They've attached themselves to the front runner, and see no other way to win in '08.
- "Hillary isn't my favored candidate but I think she will win the nomination anyway why are we wasting time with the others?"
- "Hillary is the best candidate, you are detrimental to the democrats in this election if you do not support her. A gang that don't own the street is nothin"
There is a point where the original topic of a diary is lost because two or three of us brutally exclaim the distaste for an anti-Hillary remark, or a obama/edwards cut down. It even seems as though recently it begins with sarcasm about what the "Hillary-Haters" will say. A snark is like pulling out your switch blade, "It's on." A bias is spreading based on your position, gangs have formed. Rumbles and troll ratings. This is my first presidential election as an active blogger, so I don't know what to expect, but I assume this online street war will be over soon, once the nom is decided. Maybe a little afterwords...
