So Swiftboater John O’Neill is in a twist about the Regnery authors’ lawsuit. He writes a letter to the New York Times criticizing its coverage of the lawsuit, and concluding that the claims are "totally meritless."
O'Neill letter
Interestingly, he describes himself as the "lead author" of that sad little bundle of lies called "Unfit for Command," and claims that his "coauthor," Jerome Corsi, became a millionaire off its sales.
Hold on...
Remember back in 2004, when some of Jerry’s bigoted chatroom posts were made public? Didn’t O’Neill insist that Corsi WASN’T the coauthor?
Why yes. He told Wolf Blitzer and others that Corsi was not the coauthor, but simply an "editor."

Didn’t matter that Corsi had always described himself as the "coauthor," and that big parts of his half of the book were basically copied from his lunatic ravings at sites like wintersoldier.com. He was embarrassing the Slow Boaters, so under the bus he went.
So what we have here is an admission to an outright lie. I guess O’Neill figures enough time has passed so no one would notice. Or that, as in the past, the media is too lazy to call him on his lies.
Although I have to wonder why O'Neill's so concerned about the possibility of a lawsuit.
Well, if it were true that wintersoldier.com/SBVT webmaster and Freeper director Scott Swett actually did write O’Neill’s part of the "book,"* wouldn’t that be a pretty embarrassing piece of information to come out?
What else doesn’t John want us to know?
I love it...go Wingnut Authors for Truth!!!

* Just a rumor (see Source Watch link above), but it sure would explain the dreadful writing in UFC; a comparison to Swett’s writing style at his various websites is pretty instructive on that count. It would also explain why O’Neill might have just assumed Corsi didn’t actually write his part either.
