The NEA-NH endorsed Hillary Clinton for president today. The NEA has over 16,000 members, and is the largest union in the state, with members all across New Hampshire - members who vote! This follows on the heels of the endorsement of Senator Clinton by the New Hampshire Commissioner of Education, Lyonel Tracy, as well as New Hampshire's First Lady, Dr. Susan Lynch, who is a well known advocate for children.
Across the country, meanwhile, 20 educational leaders in California also endorsed Hillary. There is a reason why so many educators are endorsing Hillary Clinton!
Hillary Clinton has an excellent understanding and knowledge of educational issues. Her plan for America's educational system includes universal pre-school, changes to No Child Left Behind, an end to the culture of testing, more attention to individualized learning, instead of the cookie cutter teach to the test cuuriculums that are taking over the clasrooms, more help for college, and also more focus on vocational training and community colleges.
All the candidates talk about education and No Child Left Behind, but Hillary Clinton has an approach that covers every facet of the system, including repairing facilities and decreasing class size, along with helping the states to fund education. She has spent her life working on children's issues, and it is a natural outgrowth of that commitment that she would have the most comprehensive approach. With Hillary as president, all of America's kids will have the schools they need.
