This is just a test to see if there's some kind of malware attacking DailyKos that makes every Edwards Iowa diary hit the req list. Carry on, nothing to see here. I'm just running a scan to see if a vast left-wing botnet is attacking DailyKos by promoting every diary with certain keywords. Keywords commencing:
Edwards electable son of mill worker millworker surge surging Iowa Hillary Obama electable corporate corruption polls believe don't believe real record universal healthcare national crowds enthusiasm on the move.
(You're still here despite the disclaimer? Well, there's more over the fold, if you insist.)
Now if this article does not reach the req list, there is, in fact, no botnet. Instead, there are a lot of very enthusiastic Edwards supporters who req every diary supporting their candidate. This is actually a more unfortunate outcome than the botnet because it means the economies of scale among the Edwards camp are inadvertently making DailyKos TOTALLY boring for those of us who don’t care about the horse race, don’t care about Iowa, and don’t get a damn vote in the primaries. What about Congressional races? Is someone in LA going to primary Landreau? What other Blue Dogs can we primary? Where are the maps of open races? Why aren’t we totally stoked about a possible supermajority? Let’s get to work on crap OTHER than obsessing over one small damn state with a crapload of corn where pretty much everybody has met every single candidate by now and had them sleep on their couch, okay? We rail on the media for only reporting on the horse race but at the same time the rec list has become one commercial after another.
I’m not going to take the same tired route of saying "Gosh, I haven’t chosen my favorite candidate yet so I’m not yelling at y’all because you don’t support my guy/gal" but seriously, I’m telling you to slow down a little, maybe rec every other Edwards supporting diary, and y’know, maybe talk about some other things like the damn ISSUES you care about rather than just the candidate. I'd give this same advice to people who recced every Obama or Kucinich or Gravel diary (but good like finding that last group).
Oh, and if there is a big botnet please keep your antivirus software up to date lest you return to your browser and find that you’re unwittingly part of the problem.
