In case you were at work and missed the lunacy that is Bush:
During today's White House press conference, President Bush was asked by ABC's Martha Raddatz if he thought Iraq was embroiled in a civil war.
The President replied: "It's hard for me living in this beautiful White House to give you an assessment, a first hand assessment..."
Um, yes he actually did say that. Bush makes Stewart and Colbert's jobs so easy they must feel (almost) guilty about getting paid.
Then when talking about Iran he said:
"But here's my point: either they knew or didn't know, and what matters is is that they're there. What's worse -- that the government knew or that the government didn't know?"
Hmmm....tough one. What's worse? That our President knows or doesn't know that Iraq is in a Civil War?
Next...
Bush said he received his first briefing this morning from Baghdad by Army Gen. David H. Petraeus in his new capacity as commander of U.S. forces in Iraq and was told that the Baghdad security plan "is beginning to take shape."
COOL! Only 4 years and 3,000+ American deaths later, the Baghdad security plan is "beginning to take shape." I'm feeling better already.
And...
On domestic issues, Bush refused to answer questions about the trial of Vice President Cheney's former chief of staff, I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby, who is fighting federal charges of perjury and obstruction of justice in connection with the leak of a CIA agent's identity. Reporters who have testified at the trial in Washington have identified three other administration officials besides Libby who they said mentioned to them the name of Valerie Plame, who worked at the CIA on issues of weapons of mass destruction.
Asked whether he authorized any of the three to disclose Plame's identity, Bush said, "I'm not going to talk about any of it."
You wouldn't even talk about how you promised to fire anyone who leaked her identity?
"No! I'm not going to talk about any of it! Just leave me alone to live in my beautiful White House!"
