Help me media, I am getting confused.
We need more troops in Iraq, "the surge", or so I'm told.
I thought we had enough troops and equipment in there, that's at least what the President said. He said he was listening to the commanders and giving them what they requested.
But now we find out there weren't enough troops there.
Does this mean the commanders didn't know what they were doing?
It seems like in an occupation like Iraq the more troops you have the better, even if they sit in a relatively safe base and only come out when needed.
What is up with these commanders that they didn't request more troops if Bush was willing to provide them?
Why now after Humpty Dumpty has already fallen?
After the sh*t has hit the fan?
There are two possible answers to what has happened.
- The military commanders are incompetent and should be relieved.
- The president did not listen to his commanders requests for more troops while telling the American public that he was. In other words, the president is lying.
This contradiction sits out as plain as day.
Which one is it?
