I endeaver to make this issue heard at least once a month until someone listens. Marijuana is not the sinister devil it has been branded to be by our government. It in fact has been proven again and again to be a gift instead of a burden. Our very government endeavors to deny the truths that their own scientists have revealed to them. Why?
It is a question that deserves an answer. We can only speculate without the proof that is hidden from us daily ,but is it hidden? Last year 786,545 people were jailed for having it. That is a small number compared to the amount of court cases that ensued to this end. A person is arrested for marijuana use every 40 seconds in America. That sounds pretty profitable for the government. It is all soo much easier to make people dissappear and claim the land is at peace. Our jails are the fullest in the world.
The medical community has found so many uses for it that it is appauling that the DEA still has the balls to classify it as a schedule I drug.
First lets get the propaganda about smoke and lung cancer out of the way. The governments own 30 year study of marijuana showed it did not cause cancer you can view the proof here and here.
A few of the medical applications WITH links Alzheimer's Disease, ALS, Diabetes Mellitus, Dystonia, Fibromyalgia, Gliomas, Gastrointestinal Disorders, Hepatitis C, Hypertension, Incontinence, Multiple Sclerosis, Osteoporosis, Pruritus, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Sleep Apnea and Tourette’s Syndrome.
It is absolutely ridiculous for our government to declare there is no medical use for marijuana with all the data that has been provided. The only conclusion one could come to is it is more profitable to keep it illegal.
- It is a plant that anyone can grow.
- It is not owned by any drug company so they can't Ka-Ching every time you take a dose.(That is unless you decide to opt for the Marinol that isn't even half as useful as the real stuff.)
- The DEA cycles the stuff back onto the street to get more people jailed. I think its called entrapment but they seem to get away with it.
- Keeping jails full.
Four extremely good reasons they keep it illegal. They don't want to make anything work easy for you when they can make a buck instead. Our prisons are the fullest in the world because of our drug laws. Privatization of our jails has turned it into a high profit business. When you turn privatization on to jails you open up a way for elected officials to be bribed to make more reasons to fill those jails. It has become an issue of money to be made when you add that privatization. Jails should be strictly government run to provide a state of true non-bias.
Alcohol is by far one of the worst drugs you can take and it is legal. Drunks often get violent and loud. Drunks are some of the worst people to be around IMO. Marijuana users on the other hand are quite passive and happy. They generally are more cooperative and friendly. You would have to smoke a couple tons of marijuana in one puff to overdose. Follow this link
here to read about overdose possibilities. I also hear alot of talk about how marijuana is so much stronger than the 60's. So what? You get more for you're trouble or money. You can't overdose without trying to as I have shown you here.
I just want this issue to be heard again and again. It is a ridiculous law with even more ridiculous reasons. I haven't used marijuana in at least 15 years. I am a law abiding citizen. I do however think that the uses and the benefits of legalizing marijuana far out weigh the reasons for keeping it illegal.
Take a step back and start to reconsider the propaganda you have been taught since childhood. Take the time to learn the truth.
