Many people don't seem to realize that Homosexuality is a form of love. Whether you love someone of the opposite sex as I do or love someone of the same sex is irrelevant. People need to be encouraged to love and find love.
Compared to dropping white phosphorous on neighborhoods or shooting up cars with depleted uranium, our innocent homosexuals are saints. What is immoral about love? Ruthlessly outing anyone thought to be gay merely for recreation or personal gain is immoral. Loving people is good and should be encouraged.
Some people may be concerned that they will be faced with unwanted affection. Get over it! Unwanted affection affects everyone anyways and the best thing is to clear it up and both move on to more promising relationships. Being asked on a date is an honor. If it is not what you are looking for just decline and move on.
Sexual harrasment is a problem. If you think you stand to be harrassed by homosexuals it is nothing compared to what they face. Think about it! Do you do things that could get you beaten to death and dragged behind a pickup truck? Bravery does not come easy. It is the most honerable where it is least recognized.
I realize that posting here is to effect preaching to the choir, but this has to start somewhere.
Child molestation is not love, and it is not the same as homosexuality. Boys and girls both face potential harrassment and usually by someone they know or a relative. Being clear about what is right and wrong is needed. Gay bashing only confuses the issue. Standing up for those who cannot defend themselves requires that we get straight the difference between love and crime.
Sin? God is love, and let he who has no sin cast the first stone. It is not for us to decide whether loving men and women are right or wrong. It is between them and God isn't it?
I suppose I shouldn't worry about what a General says about love. 'Thou shall not kill' seems like something they should be more worried about.
